Project Description: As per the Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) under CASA-1000 Project for Afghanistan, the overall objective resettlement planning is to ensure that the adverse impacts of land acquisition and involuntary resettlement are mitigated and that the livelihoods of the affected people are improved or at least restored, Task 1 Socioeconomic baseline information collection, Task 2 Review of country legal framework and development of a project entitlement policy, Task 3 Inventory surveys of impacts and affected population, Task 4 Develop compensation and livelihood restoration interventions, Task 5 Review and propose institutional setup and implementation arrangements.
