Project Description: The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has received a grant 0332-AFG: MFF from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of energy sector Development investment program-Tranche 4 Projects, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contract for DABS/012/ICB-lot 01:Design, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of Pul-e-Alam, Logar 20kV Distribution Network. The above-mentioned network will be fed by the grid substations which is under separate contract/s. This project complies with the government strategy to increase national access to electricity. The scope of works entails the development of new 20 kV and LV networks. The number or beneficiaries are estimated to be 13490 consumers.

Expected Results: The main objectives of the project are enhancement in the capacity of Distribution System by adding MV& LV distribution Networks in the existing system to facilitate the end consumers.The distribution project scope includes survey, design, supply, installation and commissioning of plant in distribution networks of Logar Lot 01.The number of estimated beneficiaries in Logar are 13,490 residential consumers respectively.
